Resident Secure & Private Sites
on Central Desktop
Lightner Property Group is pleased to announce we now offer our residents a secure private location for their lease documents and important tenancy notices. The secure electronic file folder is actually a secure site, available only to the resident and to persons invited by the resident.
Your site is created exclusively for your household. Lightner staff will upload your completed and fully executed lease documents package, as well as future notices which impact your tenancy, such as rental increase notices to a site and a folder is then shared with your site. Lightner Property Group staff do not have access to your personal Central Desktop site, but only to the SHARED folder which electronically resides in another Central Desktop site. Your lease and other important documents will be readily available to you whenever you need them.
Your Central Desktop site is available to you 7x24 and you can choose to upload other important documents to the site as you see fit. In fact, you can create your own calendar, database, and invite other people to your site, as you are the designated site administrator. No need to worry about inadvertent or unintended changes, as the Lease folder is set to READ ONLY. So you can’t change or delete these essential documents by mistake.
Electronic Files
Paper files are last century. The burden of collecting and storing all of our important documents in physical or paper form is no longer a burden our planet can afford. Whenever possible, we must change our business practices to store important documents electronically. Today, these features are employed by our financial institutions (on-line banking), our investment institutions (E*trade and Charles Schwab) and medical institutions (Kaiser). Surprisingly, few property management companies have embraced these new technologies or afforded these conveniences to their clients, such as residential tenants.
Private Site and Real-Only Documents Folder
Today that has changed. Lightner Property Group has early embraced many technology advances. We were among the first to have a web site. We were the first property manager in San Francisco to have a Twitter account. We offer our residents dozens of pages of company policy information for residential tenancies at our company web site and offer Electronic Signatures for lease documents.
Now for a very nominal once a year fee (currently $15 and guaranteed until 1-1-2012), we offer Lightner residents the ability to store their lease documents in a Central Desktop secure private site during the life of their tenancy and even after their move-out. (This service is not connected to your tenancy and so you can keep your private site after your move out for as long as you continue to pay your annual site fee.) During your tenancy, lease amendments and modifications are automatically posted to a shared Read-Only folder by Lightner Property Group staff, in real-time as the modifications to your tenancy occur.
Simple and Fast
After registration and payment, we will create your site for you. You will then receive a Central Desktop Invitation from Lightner Property Group to create your private and secure User Name and password for your site. Thereafter, your personal site and the Shared Real Only documents folder, as well as Bonus Information Folders, will be available to you whenever and where ever you want or need them. And remember, Lightner Property Group staff will not enter your site. Lightner Staff merely post your documents into the Shared Read Only folder.
24x7 Access
Your documents are available when you need them, where ever you need them. No looking for a paper file folder or attempting to remember if the physical file folder or documents are at home or at work, or maybe in the car? No need for you to remember to upload them.
Now, your important lease documents are automatically and readily available to you, where ever and whenever you have an Internet connection.
Green & Earth Friendly
And perhaps the most important feature of this new resident benefit, is that it is planet friendly. Every page you avoid printing is a contribution towards allowing a tree to grow. Don’t print documents only to file them away. Leave your documents in electronic form, file them electronically and read them electronically. Our Central Desktop On Line Secure Resident Sites allow you to do all of this!
