Web Data Widgets for your Real Estate Site
Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 4:06PM Lightner Property Group is always on the look-out for widgets we can add to our site to make the content more interesting, more interactive and more relevant to our visitors. On a limited budget, this can be difficult to accomplish. But with some good old-fashioned research effort, you can find them out there in cyber-land.
One such resource is Altos Research. They have a number of widget types you can configure to provide real estate sales information in a number of major US locations. The downside to the FREE version(s) is you are limited to Single Family Home data (no condos or investment) and you are limited in the complexity of the data presentation, as well as the types of data you can present.
That being said, even with these limitations you can configure some interesting trend data that is worthy of a side-bar or a page on your web site. If you have the budget for it, their paid for data is probably worth taking a look at; in todays market, information and reliable data is key to making sound business decisions.
